Kingsday in Amsterdam has a way of sorting itself out. You leave the house with vague intentions, the city takes over, and six hours later you're somewhere on a canal with orange on your face and no memory of making a single decision. We respect that. We'd just like to be one of the stops.

Here's the plan (or lack of one)

On April 27, Chenin Chenin is teaming up with Sanaa's Kitchen for a Kingsday afternoon in the Jordaan. Doors open at 12:00, we'll go until 18:00, and the format is simple: orange wine, falafel, good people, no agenda.

No ticket. No reservation. Walk by off the street, grab a glass, grab a sandwich, find a corner. Stay for one drink or stay for six -> Willem Alexander would want it this way.

The wine situation

Orange, obviously. It's Koningsdag! We'll be pouring a selection of skin-contact vinos from our cellar. Textured, a little wild, very much the right call for a Monday afternoon in April. If you've never tried orange wine before, this is your moment. If you already love it, you know why you're coming.

The food situation

Sanaa's Kitchen will be set up with fresh falafel and their signature sandwiches. The kind of food that makes a glass of wine last longer in the best possible way.
