Vides Velles means "old lives" in Catalan. It's Jordi Esteve's name for the recovered vineyards of Rabós — the parcels the village's elderly farmers kept alive while everyone else walked away. This cuvée comes from two old-vine plots bordering a small river, where alluvial rock and the cooling riverside influence give the Carignan a precision and elegance that sets it apart from heavier expressions of the grape. Ten days of maceration, gentle daily hand pigeage by Jordi himself, wild yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Unfined, unfiltered, minimal SO2.
