La Barbacana comes from a single namesake 100+-year-old vineyard planted on slate, iron, and quartz and sits at 650 meters elevation. Made from 100% Mencia fermented in chestnut vats with very short maceration and no pumping. The result is a wine with extraordinary purity, depth, complexity, ample acidity, grip, and length. Bottled without fining, filtration, or added SO2.
