Cervell de Mas Perdut 2023


Cervell de Mas Perdut, meaning "brain" in Catalan, symbolizes the collaboration between Rebeca and Josep Rosell, who share the vision of crafting a light red wine from indigenous red and white grape varieties. This blend consists of 50% Malvasia de Sitges, a local aromatic white grape, complemented by 25% Samsó (Catalan Carignan) and 25% Sumoll, a rustic native variety. Malvasia de Sitges undergoes 24 hours of skin contact, while Sumoll and Samsó are co-fermented carbonically. The resulting wine, aged briefly in stainless steel and glass demijohns, captivates with bright hues, fresh berry aromas, hints of spice and white flowers, concluding with a juicy, quaffable finish.
