Henri Le Roy, a visionary first-generation winemaker, initially embarked on a career as a biologist in Paris. Captivated by the allure of Burgundy but mindful of the associated costs, he turned his gaze eastward to the Jura, finding affordable land to pursue his second career in winemaking. Commencing with his inaugural vintage in 2005, Henri has steadily developed and honed his skills over the past decade. Diverging from tradition, he opts for an Ouille-style winemaking approach involving topped-off barrels instead of the conventional oxidative or biological methods for his whites. His Savagnin, locally known as Nature, is meticulously sourced from select growers. It exhibits the characteristic steely and nervy qualities intrinsic to the ouille style, making it an ideal choice for a refreshing aperitif white.
