Martin Wörner — Marto — took over his family's farm in Flonheim and quietly became one of the most influential names in German natural wine. The 2022 Pinot is his first without any Pinot Gris in the blend: two thirds whole-bunch fermentation for grip and structure, one third destemmed to keep things smooth and approachable. Aged on lees in used wooden barrels for a minimum of 12 months, bottled unfiltered, unfined, zero sulphur added.
The result floats somewhere between earthy and elegant — exactly where good Pinot should be.
