Nivuro Nostrale is the local name for Pignatello, a grape variety sometimes referred to as Perricone on the mainland and occasionally in Sicily. The wine exudes a fresh, uplifting, and powerful energy. You can also discern the grape's affinity for freshness in its delightful acidity and hints of fresh pepper and capers. It carries echoes of dried meat, balsamic, a touch of smokiness, and is laden with umami, yet it remains elegantly proportioned. Francesco often blends the current vintage with the previous one, a practice he also applies to his Nivuro Nostrale.
