Christine Pieroth's family has farmed in Burg Layen since 1781. Under Piri Naturel she keeps it simple: wild yeasts, no fining, no filtration, zero or minimal sulphur. The Pét-Nat Weiss is direct-pressed Scheurebe, fermented in stainless steel without temperature control and bottled before fermentation completes — capturing the bubbles naturally in the bottle. What comes out is juicy, floral, and changes a little glass to glass as it opens up.
Scheurebe is the right grape for this. Aromatic, expressive, never boring.
