Sepp and Maria Muster are among the most respected natural winemakers in Austria — farming biodynamically on the steep Opok slopes of Südsteiermark, where the compressed limestone and clay subsoil stresses the vines and concentrates the fruit. Zweigelt is rarely treated with this kind of patience: hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, aged in old oak without intervention. No additions, no filtration. The Opok terroir does what it always does — keeps the acidity fresh and the mineral backbone intact, regardless of the variety.
Dark cherry, forest herbs, fine tannins, and a quietly energetic finish that belongs entirely to Styria.
