The Savagnin Incognito 2022 from Jennifer & Pierre Clair is a beautifully textured, quietly expressive Jura white made from one of the region’s most iconic grapes: Savagnin. True to its name, Incognito reveals the grape’s character in a gentle, unforced way — without oxidative élevage, without theatrics, just pure fruit and place.
The Clairs farm their small parcels organically, harvesting by hand and fermenting with native yeasts. The wine is aged ouillé (topped-up) in neutral barrels, which preserves freshness and highlights Savagnin’s natural precision.
In the glass, expect green citrus, pear skin, almond, white flowers, and a fine saline streak, carried by bright acidity and a mouthwatering, mineral finish. Textural, restrained, and quietly elegant — Incognito shows the lifted, crystalline side of Savagnin.
