Old-vine Carignan from a single 80-year-old parcel in Arboras, aged 24 months in barrel. One of the Languedoc's most quietly serious reds, made by a former Roulot cellarmaster on a plot barely bigger than a large garden.
Carignan • Languedoc / Terrasses du Larzac
Eric Supply spent nearly a decade working for the legendary Domaine Roulot in Meursault before returning south with his wife Marie-Ange to farm a tiny collection of old-vine parcels in Arboras, at the foot of the Mont Baudile. Les Intillères is their flagship red — a single 2,000m² plot of 80-year-old Carignan vines just outside the village, farmed with the same artisanal precision Eric learned in Burgundy. Long maceration, 24 months in barrel. A wine built for the cellar, though approachable young.
The Languedoc rarely produces reds with this kind of patience and restraint behind them.
