the 2018 vintage of Caroline from Pranzegg is a biodynamic white wine from the Alto Adige region in northern Italy. Crafted by Marion and Martin Gojer, it is a harmonious blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, and Manzoni Bianco, grown on terraced vineyards at elevations of 300 to 375 meters.
In 2018, hail damaged a large part of the Chardonnay, resulting in a higher proportion of Sauvignon Blanc in the blend. This wine reveals vibrant, peppery, and green aromas, with hints of nettles, gooseberries, white pepper, dried orange, and sandalwood. On the palate, it is fresh, structured, and well-balanced, with a persistent finish.
