Rossetto Rosso 2021 by Altura is a captivating, island-born red from the rocky slopes of Isola del Giglio, off the Tuscan coast. Winemaker Francesco Carfagna crafts this cuvée with the same raw authenticity that defines all of Altura’s wines — minimal intervention, manual farming, and a deep respect for nature.
Made from a field blend of native Tuscan varieties (including Sangiovese, Ansonica Nera, and other local grapes), it ferments naturally with indigenous yeasts and no additions. The result is a light yet expressive red with vibrant acidity and Mediterranean soul.
Expect aromas of wild berries, herbs, and salty sea breeze, followed by a palate that’s juicy, spicy, and mineral, with a lingering finish that speaks of the island’s granite soils and coastal winds.
