Christine Pieroth broke away from her family's centuries-old estate to make natural wine on her own terms under the Piri Naturel label. Ponderosa is named after the specific parcel where these vines grow — she wanted to draw attention to the place, not the grapes. Whole bunches, foot-stomped and semi-carbonically fermented for a week, then pressed into old oak barrels to finish on full lees without stirring. No fining, no filtration, zero sulphur. 90% Pinot Gris, 10% Pinot Noir.
