Bright, juicy red from northwest Sicily — Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese, four days of maceration, and a name that says it all. Isi means easy in Sicilian dialect.

Alessandro Viola farms 7 hectares of organically worked vines near Alcamo, across two distinct sites: clay soils at 200 metres in Pietra Rinosa close to the sea, and calcareous, more mineral-driven plots at 400 metres in Fastuchera. The Rosso Isi brings together 60% Nero d'Avola with 40% Nerello Mascalese — Sicily's coastal red with Etna's mountain grape. Four days of skin maceration, six months in stainless steel, bottled unfiltered with minimal sulphites. Alive, a little electric, and very easy to reach for.
Serve lightly chilled and don't overthink it.
