This 2020 red from Ampeleia is a pure yet distinctive expression of the Sassoforte vineyards in Grosseto — a former marshland shaped by clay and galestro soils. Planted in 2003 and farmed biodynamically (Demeter-certified), the vineyards are harvested all at once and co-fermented in concrete, allowing the varieties to merge seamlessly from the very start.
Naturally fermented with native yeasts and aged in concrete, the wine stays close to the land it comes from: powerful yet delicate, structured but vibrant. Decanting is recommended to let it fully unfold.
