Pratoasciutto 2005 from Tenuta Grillo is one of the most distinctive—and cult—expressions of long-aged, additive-free Barbera in Italy. Crafted by Flavio Roddolo and later continued with the same uncompromising philosophy, Tenuta Grillo is known for patient, extended aging that lets the wine evolve naturally and gracefully over decades.
Vinified without additives, bottled without filtration, and aged for many years in large neutral barrels before release, this 2005 is deep, complex, and beautifully mature. It’s Barbera in its most contemplative form: dark, savory, structured, and endlessly layered.
