The Benje Tinto 2022 from Envínate is a pure, volcanic expression of Listán Prieto grown high in the rugged mountains of Tenerife’s Santiago del Teide. The vines, rooted in volcanic sand and ash at elevations up to 1,000 meters, produce fruit of remarkable freshness and minerality — a true taste of the Canary Islands.
Fermented with whole clusters and native yeasts, and aged in a mix of concrete and neutral oak, this wine is all about energy and finesse. The nose bursts with red currant, wild strawberry, pepper, and smoky volcanic tones, while the palate is delicate yet structured, with fine tannins and a saline finish.
