Marco Bertoni started Il Farneto in the 1990s with one goal: bring real farming back to a region that had handed itself over to industrial wine. Eight hectares farmed biodynamically on clay soils in Castellarano, with winemaker Tommaso Turci keeping things natural in the cellar — spontaneous fermentation, no fining, no filtration. The Giandòn is a blend of three indigenous grapes, macerated on skins for 4–5 days then moved to cement and steel. Each grape vinified separately and blended at the end.
