Every year, Elisa de Frutos and Rubén Salamanca of Vinos Malaparte set off on a new adventure. Their project, Uvas Nómadas (“Nomadic Grapes”), is a travelling wine story: each vintage explores a different region of Spain through a single native grape, crafted in collaboration with a community of supporters who follow the journey from vineyard to bottle.
For 2023/24, the chosen grape is Listén Negra , a rare and historic variety from the Canary Islands. Known for its delicacy and volcanic edge, this grape tells a story of rugged Atlantic vineyards, black volcanic soils, and the windswept landscapes where vines cling to life.
Like every chapter of Uvas Nómadas, this release is more than just a bottle of wine. It’s a snapshot of place, a celebration of Spain’s forgotten grapes, and a reminder that wine is at its best when it’s alive, surprising, and shared.
